The Department is pleased to offer three M.A. degree programs (Classics, Latin, and Greek) and a Ph.D. degree program in Classics (with concentrations in Classics or Classical Archaeology). The M.A. degree program in Classics offers four majors (Ancient History, Classical Archaeology, Classical Civilization, and Greek and Latin). The M.A. programs are designed to prepare students for future doctoral level work in classical studies or related fields, secondary education, heritage and management. The Ph.D. program seeks to prepare students for careers in research, secondary and university teaching, publishing, state and federal granting agencies, historical preservation.
