Classics Week February 18-21, 2015

We start off on Wednesday (Feb. 18) with a special talk by Prof. Ayelet Haimson Lushkov (University of Texas at Austin) onĀ  "Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics: Truth, Citation, and Numbers in Livy" at 6:00 pm in FAB 249. The next evening (Thurs. Feb. 19) we have a talk by Prof. Pramit Chaudhuri (Dartmouth College) on "The Failure of Diplomacy in Roman Epic," also at at 6:00 in FAB 249. And the week culminates in our annual Spring Langford Conference, with the theme Host or Parasite? Mythographers and their Contemporaries in the Late Classical and Hellenistic Periods (the link takes you to more details). We hope to see you at one or more of these events!
