M.A. in Classics: Greek & Latin
The program in Classics (Greek and Latin) enables a student to concentrate his or her course-work on both languages.
It is recommended to students who enter with strong language skills. The program will prepare students for further graduate
work in classical studies or for a career in teaching in the schools. This program may be taken under the course option or the
thesis option. The Department recommends the course option.

*Translation exams will ordinarily be given during one week of each term: in the fall term,
it will be the second week in November; in the spring term, it will be the week following the spring break.
