The Department offers several programs of study leading to the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees. The MA programs are designed to prepare students for future doctoral level work in classical studies or related fields, secondary education, cultural heritage and management. The PhD programs seek to prepare students for careers in research, secondary and university teaching, publishing, state and federal granting agencies, historical preservation.
