Allisen Hunter is an MA student in Classical Archaeology and is completing a third year Specialized Study course in Museum Studies. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2021 with B.A.s in Ancient Mediterranean Studies, Art, and a minor in Art History. She has previous field experience as an Assistant Trench Supervisor and Total Station Operator at the Cosa Excavations (2023, 2022) and as a Trench Supervisor at the ASCSA Corinth Excavations (2022). She has also participated in the Archaeological Conservation Institute field program (2023). Allisen has worked in museums as a Gallery Intern at the George Caleb Bingham Galley in Columbia, MO from 2019-2020 and served as a Collection Inventory Volunteer at the Andrew County Museum in Savannah, MO in 2019. Currently, Allisen is a Conservation Intern at the Florida Bureau of Archaeological of Research. Allisen’s research interests are the production, use, and broader cultural significance of pigments in the ancient world, especially Ancient Greece. Her goal is to pursue a path in Museum Studies and Conservation.
